Hello, I’m Jen. I love love. So much so, that I enjoy turning it into timeless works of art that reside someplace between fantasy and reality.
I am a graduate of the art program at the University of Notre Dame and have been photographing weddings, almost exclusively, for over a decade. I also had the honor of attending Saint Mary’s College where I studied photography and communications. I’ve been published in countless wedding magazines and blogs and my wedding images have been featured in major Hollywood films. In the grand scheme of things, I don’t need a fancy degree to do what I do, but having studied Monet and Da Vinci, 3D sculpture and figure drawing, as well as calculus and creative writing has made me, perhaps, a more unique photographer than I might have turned out to be without those academic experiences.
What inspires me?… I am completely head-over-heals in love with my two greatest accomplishments in life, Sydney and Max. They have taught me to cherish all those little in-between moments in life that slip by if you’re not paying very close attention. They constantly inspire me as a photographer and remind me not to take myself too seriously. When you look back years from now it’s the little moments that you’ll realize were really the big ones, and that’s how I approach photographing your wedding day.
While we are located in the Midwest and regularly photograph weddings throughout Southwest Michigan, South Bend, Chicago, Grand Rapids and Detroit, I’m just a plane ticket away from anywhere and everywhere your hearts may lead you. I crave the challenge of photographing spaces and places I’ve never been to before and welcome the chance to capture your special day wherever it might be.
If you afford me the opportunity to be the most intimate observer on your wedding day, I promise to preserve the memories that, years into the future, will remind you of why you love love too.
