The three rules of real estate: Location, Location, Location, also apply to weddings. An incredible reception location can simply make the event. In the case of Beth and Cesar’s wedding it was right in their own yard with beautiful Lake Michigan as the perfect backdrop. We litterally didn’t have to go anywhere for pictures. I did make sure that the happy couple knew that I ordered up the clouds with the beaming sunlight peaking through just before sunset. Ok, sometimes we photographers just get lucky on the weather. But either way we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day.
The tented reception was stunning and the table decor was made even more spectacular by the very talented crew from Modern Day Floral . And the band, Maggie Speaks, out of Chicago kept the party going all night. Hats off to John Pottenger at Coastline Studios who did a fantastic job filming the event. As always, a great job by Stella Event Design who coordinated the big day.
What a fun couple. I had the honor of attending Beth and Cesar’s rehearsal dinner at the Lost Dunes Country Club in Bridgman, Michigan the evening before the wedding. The highlight of the evening was a roast of sorts where I was able to learn all about how Beth and Cesar met and fun little stories courtesy of their siblings and friends about their lives before they met.
It was another beautiful event coordinated by Jessica Pennington and Brittany Johnson of 
It’s always so exciting to have brand new babies in the studio. Photographing babies under two weeks old is one of the funnest parts of my job. Baby Samantha was even more special to photograph as she is my beautiful new baby niece and we’re so delighted to welcome her to the family. This is one of my favorites from her first official photo shoot on Friday. I always love the contrast created between a delicate newborn and her father’s strong hands.
