Notre Dame Wedding Photographer | Alex + Ben’s Winter Wedding Photos at Notre Dame and The Brick

Alex and Ben opted for a winter wedding at the University of Notre Dame’s Sacred Heart Basilica this January.  I am certainly no stranger to Notre Dame’s campus.  Not only having graduated from the Riley School of Art and Design, I have been photographing weddings at the Sacred Heart Basilica and across Notre Dame’s campus for well over a decade.  Although most couples seek out summer and fall weddings, winter weddings often end up being some of my favorites from a creative standpoint.  The short days and varying weather conditions often require that we come up with more unique photo opportunities particularly with regards to indoor backdrops and our use of available light and flash photography.  Winter weddings at Notre Dame, and really anywhere, require a photographic eye that sees beyond the more obvious opportunities for wedding photos.
